Bus Falls From Flyover In Madhya Pradesh Killing 2

Two people were killed and 40 injured when a private bus fell from a flyover in Madhya Pradesh's Rajgarh district early Tuesday morning, police reported. The bus accident occurred near Pachore town around 1:30 am as the bus, carrying 55 passengers, was crossing the flyover, according to an official. The bus driver lost control, causing the vehicle to plummet to the ground below, said Akansha Sharma, in charge of the Pachore police station. Two passengers died on the spot, and 40 were injured. Of the injured, 19 sustained critical injuries and were referred to Indore for treatment, while the others are receiving care in various hospitals in Shajapur, Biora, and Pachore, the official added. One of the deceased has been identified as Harjat Singh, 28, while the identity of the other victim has yet to be determined. The bus was en route from Indore to Pichhore town in Shivpuri district. The Cantonment police conducted an interview with the conductor present during the recent road rage incident involving Mayor Arya Raveendran and a KSRTC driver. Conductor Subin asserted no awareness of any lewd gestures from driver H L Yadhu toward the mayor, nor was he privy to the subsequent chase between the KSRTC bus and the mayor's vehicle. In an unexpected occurrence, a malfunctioning Metropolitan Transport Corporation (MTC) bus saw its front door detach and fall onto a woman riding her scooter on Tuesday evening, resulting in injuries. The incident unfolded around 8:30 pm on Jawaharlal Nehru Road near Thirumangalam. The bus, operating on route 70A from Koyambedu mofussil terminus to Avadi, was nearing Thirumangalam bus depot when the door unexpectedly gave way, striking a motorcyclist - a woman on a scooter - who was traveling alongside during rush hour.
