Mumbai-Agra Highway Bus Accident: Six Feared Dead, Dozens Injured


 

In a tragic incident along the Mumbai-Agra highway near Chandwad, approximately six individuals are feared to have lost their lives, with around 30 others sustaining injuries following a collision between an ST bus and a truck at approximately 9:15 am on Tuesday morning. The injured have been promptly transported to Chandwad rural hospital for medical attention.

According to PI Kailas Wagh of Chandwad police station, the exact number of fatalities resulting from the accident will be determined within the next hour, as all casualties have been swiftly admitted to the hospital for assessment and treatment.

The collision occurred as the ST bus, en route from Jalgaon to Vasai, attempted to overtake a truck traveling ahead of it, resulting in a devastating impact that left the bus severely damaged.

At the scene, both Chandwad police and highway authorities are actively managing traffic flow to ensure safety and facilitate ongoing investigations into the incident, which include determining the status of the victims, assessing the extent of damage caused by the collision, and gathering pertinent details surrounding the sequence of events leading up to the tragic collision.
